Verizon rolled out a major update to Android 5.1 Lollipop on its network with a handful of fixes for the LG G4. The long awaited ‘touchscreen fix’ update has already been pushed out by every other U.S. carrier.LG G4 owners can now see a software update download notification waiting for installation. The OTA (over-the-air) update measures 422 MB for users on VS98611A firmware and 61 MB for those that received the original VS98612A update. The VS98612A firmware update was rolled out back in October. It was pulled out, however, because of major bug issues affecting Wi-Fi push notifications of the device , reported GottaBeMobile.Verizon has yet to announce all the major changes this update brings but users on Android Central lembaga have reported some perceptible changes. After the successful installation of the latest update, the hiccup affecting the keyboard while typing has been eliminated.LG G4 owners also mentioned the update also incorporates a new slow motion feature in the camera app allowing them to capture slow motion videos. LG also fixed the Wi-Fi push notification problem. The update seems to have resolved the overheating issue that caused the phone to automatically shut down. Users also said glitches in the ringer, notification and system volume have also been taken care of. The overall experience of the touch based user interface has improved greatly. The LG G4 had major problems with non-responding touchscreens and intermittent blinking of the LED notification light without any reason. The Verizon update will also add the latest security patches to the LG G4. News suggest the device will be updated to the latest version of Google’s Android operating system v6.0 in early 2016.
